In Japan it’s “sleeping on the train.” Tourists are genuinely shocked to see people fast asleep with their wallet and phone right on their lap. I think it says a lot about how safety is just woven into daily life here.
A Finnish friend told me it’s completely normal to go into the sauna with family or coworkers, and what surprises people is that NOT going in isn’t really an option. Apparently meetings sometimes continue in there too.
